Fantasy Football Rankings Passing Rushing Receiving Week 9

THE FOLLOWING CHARTS HELP TO PICK YOUR QB RB AND WR FOR WEEK 9 - There are 3 charts: 1st PASSING; 2nd RUSH; 3rd RECEIVING. The charts work like this; the teams are ranked by my special method (similiar to USA today rankings by yards/game but with an added element that I believe they have left out). After the Rank & Team is the opposing Team for this week. The last number is derived by using the offensive stats compared to the defensive stats (again with the modifier mentioned before). The more negative the number, the better that offensive team (PASS, RUSH, RECEIVE) will perform. The BYE teams numbers have no meaning. To use these numbers for fantasy football, imagine you have to chose between QB Anderson from Cleveland and QB Palmer from Cincinnati. Cleveland has a -18 Cincinnati has a -1, so because of the matchup Anderson is the better pick. The rankings are based on the team as a whole and should only be used as a guide. A good example of not following these rankings exactly would be the last 3 week performances of RB L. Johnson from Kansas. Their RUSH offense will naturally be low from the low production in the first 5 weeks, but its really hard not to play L. Johnson at this point no matter how low Kansas has been ranked; in fact I'm sure their ranking will increase substantially in the next few weeks.

NFL Week 9 Picks Confidence Points

I get these numbers from pure ranking stats with my own special twist. The first team is the favored team, the second is the underdog, I have placed an asterisk by the team I've chosen and colored them green. The confidence number is how confident I believe the team chosen will win 14 being the highest. The team in CAPS is the home team. My stats show 5 upset games this week Carolina, Green Bay, Seattle Indianapolis and Houston.

I must be doing something right. My ranking has moved significantly at yahoo.com. This next week looks a lot rougher especially since my stats say to pick Indy at home over New England with confidence 8 points! Cor below equals correct, inc equals incorrect.
